The Hunting of Ducks
Welcome to my "Games in Art" series, inspired by my studies of ancient art history and my passion for gaming.
For this first piece, I chose ancient Egyptian art to illustrate a particular game that us children of the 80s would know very well but is literally ancient history to gamers now.
The Egyptian text in the background is taken from a Middle Kingdom text called "the Pleasures of Fishing and Fowling". I could only find the English translation of the text, so I translated it back into hieroglyphs. Anyone want to check my grammar? ;)
The image is A4-sized 21x29.7cm (26x35cm total with border) and printed on fine art paper.
With matting, the total size becomes 40.5x50.5 cm.
